Cherry Hall Alexander African-American History Calendar 2025 Nomination Form

Tallahassee State College’s African American History Month Calendar Committee is accepting nominations for its 25th Annual Cherry Hall Alexander African American History Calendar. This year's national theme, selected by the Association for the Study of African American Life and History, is “African Americans in the Workforce” and will celebrate the achievements and significant contributions made by African Americans in the fields of agriculture, manufacturing, construction, transportation and logistics, hospitality, service industry, food service and other forms of skilled or trade labor.

As a nominator, please consider the following before completing the form on behalf of a potential nominee:

■ Holds residency in the Leon, Wakulla, Jefferson, or Gadsden County area;

■ Demonstrates significant contributions in one of the aforementioned sectors; and

■ Has not been previously featured in the calendar. All former honorees can be found by visiting the former honorees listing (www.tsc.fl.edu/aahc).

Note: The committee will evaluate the scope and impact of a nominee’s achievements and the extent to which their efforts have benefited the community. Please document significant achievements and accomplishments related to the nomination.

As a nominator, the committee requests that you complete a nomination form. The African American History Calendar Committee will evaluate the nominations and select individuals to be honored in the 2025 Tallahassee State College Cherry Hall Alexander African American History Calendar.
